Tempest Travel Photography

Pushing the boundaries of portrait photography further than ever before.

From the bustle of the schoolyard to the expanse of the open sea, Tempest Photography has been on something of a journey. Through our Tempest Travel Photography (TTP) division, based in Southampton, we now share unforgettable adventures with cruise ship guests, capturing meaningful moments on some of life’s most memorable voyages.

TTP is a core part of the onboard experience across 11 cruise ships within the P&O Cruises and Cunard fleets. Our teams photograph the moments that matter, from elegant formal evenings and family celebrations to relaxed days at sea, creating lasting memories that live on long after the voyage has ended.

Each ship is equipped with a dedicated Photo Gallery, allowing guests to view and purchase their images throughout their cruise. All photo products are produced onboard using our own professional labs, ensuring quality, speed and a seamless guest experience from capture to collection.

We offer a flexible range of photography experiences, from casual portraits and special event photography to private photo sessions and studio-style shoots. We employ around 100 photographers at sea across the fleet, representing more than 25 different nationalities, who work closely with guests to deliver images that feel personal, authentic and truly reflective of their time onboard.

Behind the scenes, TTP operates at significant scale. Our teams capture over two million images each year, photographing more than 400,000 guests across over 100 countries. Our seagoing teams are supported by a dedicated shoreside operation in Southampton, providing year-round support to a global fleet sailing 365 days a year.

Tempest Travel Photography continues to evolve, combining craftsmanship, technology and human connection to tell travellers’ stories, one voyage at a time.
